Iran director to helm action film

Famed Iran director Hamid Nematollah plans to make a new action movie.

Nematollah who offered ‘Flaming' at the 36th edition of Fajr International Film Festival will shoot for his latest project 'Killer and Wild' in two months.

Born in 1967, Hamid Nematollah is an Iranian scriptwriter and director. He moved to the cinema landscape by working as a director’s assistant on Masoud Kimiaee’s ‘Banquet’ (1995).

He made his directional debut with ‘Boutique’ (2003).  The movie was nominated for Best Film award at the Iran Cinema Celebration and gained the Best Film Crystal Simorgh from Fajr Film Festival.

Nematollah has made some movies, including ‘Let's Talk About the Past’ (2008), ‘Down and Out’ (2008), ‘Heavy Makeup’ (2013) and 'Subdued' (2017) as well as directing the series ‘Code White’ (2011).

He received a Diploma of Honor for the Best Screenplay from the Fajr International Film Festival for ‘Down and Out’ (2008).
